Hi, I’m Maggie!
I’m a natural beauty blogger, with a love for bio-hacking, anti-aging, minimalism (or essentialism might be a better word), all things natural, healthy and low waste.
If you’re interested in simple and straightforward DIY natural beauty and life routines based on essentials, you’ll feel right at home here.
My Story
I basically started on this natural skincare path as a result of a pretty bad bout of hormonal acne at age 18. After surviving most of my teen years without effectively ever washing my face, I had no idea what to do or why it was happening.
I went to 3 different dermatologists, without much result and frankly not much option given, other than medicating myself with some horrible drugs with a mile-long list of scary side-effects.
Having nothing to lose, I decided to do my own research and it literally changed my life! Being me I took the holistic, minimalist approach to the whole thing and actually managed to clear up my acne naturally within 3 months! I was hooked!
Over the years I’ve developed a curated approach to most things in my life. This goes hand in hand with my natural tendency to get down to basics and extract the fundamentals of any issue.
I believe life is too short to be wasting time with fluff on a daily basis, so I hope to provide you with useful and actionable information that will be a benefit to you. No 10-ingredient DIYs here, baby!

My Values
My minimalist, low waste approach includes concerns about sustainability and transparency in business practices, which of course affects many of my shopping needs. They’re values that I try to apply in as many areas of my life as I can, starting by simply not buying more than I actually feel I need, but also by weighing pros and cons between purchasing options. So, yes…sometimes I end up paying (a lot) more for things or going (way!) out of my way to get them.
Sustainability is incredibly complex and we don’t always have much of a choice depending on where we might be living at the time. But I try my best and spend a LOT of energy in finding (truly) sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives wherever I can.
